These are the happiest employees ever. While visiting Montgomery from Chicago I needed an item that showed in stock. The store associate Adam encounterd me searching and just handled getting a machine and going up top to get the item. I was so grateful.

I previously reported one star however my son talked me into one more try. I went back and Will K was amazing with excellent customer service. Redeemed but only deal with Will K and the ladies that assist him.

They had everything I needed. Even matched an exterior paint. I also bought 4 x red roof brackets.... Less than $13 each .

Not a great experience. The store was a mess. My wife tripped over pieces of plywood that had been taken off the shelf and left leaning against other lumber, like someone was picking through it and just abandoned it in the aisle. She says she’s okay, and we’re not the “call a lawyer” type, but it was definitely tempting. Then we couldn’t find anyone who could cut sheet goods. The employee who finally came over told me they don’t cut sheetrock. I explained that I said sheetgoods, not sheetrock. Turns out the person who sent him over didnt bother to understand what was needed. Once he realized what we needed, he was very helpful with cutting the plywood. Trying to get to the panel saw was another challenge. Three different aisles were blocked by forklifts or carts full of product. The fourth aisle had clutter too, but I was able to move enough out of the way to get through. This store desperately needs to be cleaned up. Most employees were on their phones. When you could get their attention, they were polite and helpful, but overall it looks like this location needs a new manager. I’ll be driving out of my way to avoid the Chantilly store from now on. Best HD store in the river region. Well-stocked, clean, very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great place to buy a Christmas Tree too. I have rarely gone in this store and not been able to find what I was looking for. The one exception was an M10 metric eye bolt. I don’t think there are any of those at any retail store in South Alabama :).
